So, I saw this on Pinterest and thought what a great activity to try (thinking for sure it wouldn't work) But much to my surprise....It DID! All you do is put the end of your Romaine lettuce that you would normally compost or throw away in water, place it in a nice sunny spot and wait for it to grow (make sure it always has lots of water). It may not look like much now, but when I am making a salad from lettuce I grew the children will be so excited! You can also do this with celery, bok choy and green onions. Guess what we are having with lunch today ;)
